When I got outta the military, the camaraderie, the kind of structure, I missed it too much. That kind of lifestyle, being a part of law enforcement, it gives you that.
It's a rewarding career, just like the military. So I was in the military for 10 years.
I came back. I was driving truck.
It really wasn't fitting for me. I looked at what else could I do to serve our community, and I applied to be a deputy sheriff of Lake County.
Being. Able to put that uniform on every day, feeling proud of yourself.
It was an easy transition for me into corrections. For me, I'm on our SWAT team.
It's ERT. We have a boat team, a dive team, canines, drones, traffic reconstructionist.
We literally have everything for what you want to do. We're looking for somebody who doesn't want to just come in and do a job.
We wanna look for somebody who has a passion for this type of work. The people you're serving with are your family away from your family.
We support one another and pick up one another when we need to. I have been in law enforcement almost 50 years, just what I love to do.
I don't know how to do anything else other to protect and serve. I hope you join.
The team. I hope you join the team.
And step up and serve with. Your heart, with your mind.
That is what we need in law enforcement every day, 24 7.
